The Difference between Air-cushion Combs and Ordinary Combs

Comb is an important tool for tidying hair and combing hair style every day. Combs are also divided into many types according to their functions. The most common ones are air-cushion combs and ordinary combs. No matter what kind of comb, it can comb the hair smoothly and stylishly. But there are some differences between air-cushion comb and ordinary comb in many places.

The material and teeth of the air-cushion comb are different from ordinary combs. The air-cushion comb adopts a unique airbag design. There is a small vent at the bottom of the comb, which can effectively reduce the static electricity generated when combing the hair, while the ordinary comb has a hard bottom. The comb teeth of the air-cushion comb are elastic round heads, which can promote the blood circulation of the scalp when combing the hair, while the comb teeth of ordinary combs are hard, which will scratch the scalp if you are not careful.

The material used to make the air-cushion comb is generally wood or plastic, and the comb teeth are evenly distributed on the air cushion of the comb. Moreover, there is a small hole for ventilation on the air cushion. This design is to prevent the hair from being smooth and not easy to knot when combing the hair, which can effectively prevent the occurrence of static electricity problems. 

The teeth of a plastic comb are neatly arranged in a row, and its materials are generally wood, plastic, and banboom. The teeth of an ordinary comb are usually sharper, while the teeth of an air-cushion comb are relatively round, which can be convenient and good for head massage. Ordinary combs are prone to static electricity when combing, so air cushion combs are now a very popular comb.

The advantage of the air-cushion comb is that because the head of the comb is round, there is no pain when combing the hair, and it also has the effect of massaging the scalp hair. Especially long hair that has been permed, when combing with an air cushion, you will feel that the hair is not easy to knot, and it is particularly smooth. However, after using the air cushion comb for a period of time, some hair will accumulate in the air cushion. Therefore, it must be cleaned regularly to ensure that the air cushion comb is clean.

Air-cushion combs are easier to clean than ordinary combs. We can use a sharp object to pick out the squeezed hair or dust from the bottom, and then rinse it off with water. After using the comb for a long time, you still need to clean up the residue and grease on it. The air-cushion comb will squeeze a bit more because of the large bottom area, but it is also better to handle. When cleaning, the water temperature should not be too high, which will cause plastic deformation.
